200blk of New St - Coatesville - 2nd Alarm
Units were dispatched for the reported house fire on the 200blk of New St. Engine 43-1 came into the area and reported smoke showing in the area from about a block out. On arrival they reported heavy smoke showing from the middle of the row. Crews began to make a push from the front while Engine 38 laid in from the rear. At that time there was heavy fire showing in the rear of the residence. Engine 38 was hampered by a large hill that was full of liter and other debris. The crew had to advance a 1 3/4 handline up the hill which delayed the attack on the fire to the rear. Crews were on location for several hours.
