1090 Horseshoe Pike - Accident w/ Entrapment
On Monday September 16th just before midnight East Brandywine Fire Company along with MICU 46 from Minquas were dispatched to 1090 Horseshoe Pike for the auto accident. Chief 49 went enroute and was advised of a one vehicle accident into a tree and off the roadway. A few minutes later Chief 49 got a report from one of the firefighters that came upon the accident that a subject was trapped. At that point the call was upgraded. Engine 49-1 and Utility 49 made the response. Assistant 49 arrived first and confirmed he had one vehicle into the tree with a subject trapped. Crews arrived on scene and had to use chainsaws to remove the tree from around the vehicle. Once that was complete they were able to make access to the patient and he was removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.
