Midway Grill - City of Coatesville - Building Fire
COATESVILLE — A 67-year-old homeless man was arrested and charged with arson following a fire early Wednesday morning at a Coatesville restaurant.
Richard Hines was arrested on arson and related charges, police said.
On March 2 at 2:38 a.m., the Coatesville City Police Department was dispatched to the Midway Bar and Grill on Lincoln Highway in downtown Coatesville for a building fire. Upon arrival Officers observed flames coming from the kitchen area of the building.
The City of Coatesville Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the flames. The State Police Fire Marshal investigated the origin of the fire. Police reviewed surveillance cameras in the area and observed Robert Hines break the front window of the establishment and ignited several items which caused the interior fire.
Hines was arraigned and transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post $75,000 cash bail.
